ABOUT
The purpose of #FindingWhy Film goes far deeper than just adventure. "My mission is to spark up conversations about the underrepresentation of women, and more specifically, women of color in outdoor media (magazines, TV shows, films, etc.), to hopefully, break some of the stigmas and stereotypes surrounding women in the outdoors, and to inspire others like me to get outside and make waves."
With help from a couple of local San Antonio Producers, we are going to document Yudi's epic journey from Wyoming to Montana as she and her two sisters venture deep into the Rockies on a journey of connection, inspiration and discovery. "I’m about to take my sisters to places they never dreamed they would go, and not only take it as an opportunity to dig into our lives and backstories, but to inspire unique perspectives from some underrepresented voices."
This project is more than a passion project, it is a call to a MOVEMENT and it is happening NOW. Equal representation for people of color is a relatively new concept, and even more so when it comes to the outdoors. That is why this film is so important and relevant today. With this film, and the social media and other platforms that will surround it, we hope to create a larger stage for all the voices waiting to be heard.
